I think the title of the article really says it all. Are there really people who think “YES! FINALLY! I can turn my phone into a billboard!”? But more than that - wtf is happening to Android? It seems like it’s just becoming this fragmented, ad laden, bloatware infested pile of garbage.

Speaking of disruptive innovation - Apple has always been a company willing to invest in the technology that would eventually have put them out of business. They’re pretty amazing in this way. Other companies might have defended their investment in OS X until the bitter end, Apples seems prepared to kill it themselves if that’s what progress requires.
